My friend Kailei Higginson was at his kid’s Scholastic book fair in Nebraska when he picked this up! MY BOOK!

I don’t even have a copy of my book! While “Park Survival: Lost in Alaska” will be released nationally on November 3, I didn’t realize that the book fairs would already be carrying it!
And I love that it was Kailei who found it “in the wild” as well. Besides being a good friend from high school, he was also an editor on the school newspaper (T-birds!) while I was editor and helped me form my views on journalism and writing and life. We had many a late-night teenage Taco Bell discussions both serious – and very not. ♥️
So did I spend several hours scouring the Scholastic book fair finder to see if there was one I could get to soon and talk my way into the school to see it? I sure did! 😂 Unfortunately no fairs in Juneau are scheduled for a few weeks so I have some time to think of a strategy.
But if you have a kiddo who has a book fair going on now or soon- be on the lookout! You could literally get a copy before I do!
(And if you do go and find it, photos, videos, selfies – I want it ALL!)
