Something I love about when Alaska Native peeps go to represent, they BRING IT on the fashion front. And I don’t just mean aesthetically (although look at us slaaayyyyy that Emmy red carpet.)

Tlingit culture has thousands of years of history in a visual language that comes through in everything we do, including speaking to our very identity just from a glance at our clothing and regalia – and we’re certainly not the only ones. The beautiful ways our identity still comes out in all Alaska Native cultures in one way or another is as fascinating to me as it is reassuring.

The Emmys was not only no different, the Alaska Native peeps representing Molly of Denali stepped it up a notch. And something that was lovely and not surprising is how very personal so many pieces were. Pieces that speak to who we are, where we come from, who love us and claim us, who we remember, who our ancestors are.

So here are come Emmy red carpet looks from two days of Emmys! I can guarantee you NOBODY looked like us. 😎
